| Hey Brownguy, France aint all that bad you know..well it all depends where abouts in France you go! I went to Paris in May 2003 and then Neice in August 2003, Both in France for those of you that don't know. Had a great time and the flight & hotel package was just perfect! Then went to Portugal in June 2004, Lisbon to be precise. Excellent weather and food! Not to forget those Portugese men!! Uff!! Booked the flight & hotel through Expedia.com and got the whole package for 2 adults for just under £300 for 5nights! This year in June I went to Barcelona which is in Spain. Very young partified culture. It's a place to visit with a big group of friends I'd say! Some great scenes and people are very friendly. My advise would be.. make sure you get plenty of sleep before going to Barcelona, coz over there you will have no time to sleep!!!! And recently in August I went to Rome which is in Italy. An excellent holiday package, return flights & hotel for 2 adults cost us under £300 but as my boyfriend felt real generous I only paid £80... now that's what you call a "real man" hehehe... Rome has plenty for your eyes.. from the Beautiful Artwork of The Vatican City to the romantic Spanish Steps! It has it all. Mind you, if you've no interest in History havn't got a clue about Roman times, then I'd advise you to do your homework before you go... coz without knowing much about the sceneries in Rome, you will not appreciate it's existance today. The food was amazing, expensive but mouth-watering! And the Pizza's.. man you wana bring some back in your suitcases!! Rome does not sleep... walk the streets of the Piazza Navona at midnight, and you'll see from babies to elderly people.. wide awake, enjoying the cool un-polluted air and the calm surrounding music to their ear. The most astonishing view of Rome is the "marathon-runners" (lol). The marathon-runners, are our fellow Bangladeshi brothers(Illegal Immigrants) and many African brothers too, who you will find everywhere you go in Rome, with their own little stall selling Designer Bags, jewellery, scarves, belts, etc. Walk around abit further, and you will notice the "Panini-Snacks", these are little caravan, once again most run by our fellow freshy brothers, selling drinks, ice-creams, nuts, and few other snacks. But BEWARE, they are all rip-offs!! They charge you 2.5Euro's for one bottle of water, not even water...just a bottle full of ICE!! That's equivalent to about £3.50 in english pounds, and here in England we buy bottle of proper water for no more than 75p!!! But all in all the whole holiday was a rememberable one. We booked the flight from Ryanair (very cheap flights) and the hotel from Expedia.com (definitely worth checking out!) xxx Shums - aka [AL-Fida] xxx | |||||||||||||||||||||
