I wanna Time Travel!!

Why dont they come up with time travelling machines.

There are soo many theories about how one "CAN" time travel, eg. black hole, travelling at the speed of light etc etc but its all theories. Ohwell.

Anyone else interested in time travel or anyone would like to make a comment of the topic anyway...? feel free

There was an interesting theory that was put forward by some scientists. I was watching the documentary on Time Travel in BBC once.

It said that some scientists have been able to prove that time moves slower when its on the move. The experiment that they performed was this: They placed clock 1 on a jet airplane and clock 2 in the science lab on ground. The jet airplane made its flight, and landed. It was observed that clock 1 was two minutes behind clock 2.

The scientists proposed the idea of creating something called a 'worm hole'. Its something like a bag which contains the past. It would be a portal which opens into the past. This 'worm hole' once created could be sent out into space. Years later, the same 'worm hole' could be retrieved and used as a time machine, to travel back in time. Most of these scientists were quite optimistic and are pretty sure that a time machine will be a reality in the near future.

There were so optimistic that they were considering the possibility that if a time machine had been built in the future, then there must be people from the future amongst us right now. And it is perhaps because we are unable to see them that we cannot communicate with them.

time travel is a possibility...

the grandfather paradox may have an answer... your present is the result of your past. but this process is irreversible. Suppose once something happens, it cant happen again... so if u go to ur past and kill ur grandfather before he got married, u might still exist, because u r existing !

if there is a time machine around us, we would know, or we wouldnt, but the question is, can you alter your own past or can you visit your own future and come back to change the present?
i believe if u can travel thru time, there will be some constraints... it wont be forced but it will be inevitable.. it will be a law enforced by the time itself that you cannot alter the past as long as you have the possibility to change the present or the future.. nature will only determine what you can or can not do. cause if pasts change there is no present and future. or may be u can go to a past which is very distant, where there is a little chance that your work will alter the present drastically, like we know a little about ancient civilizations, we only know they were great, we only know pyramids, we know its hard to build even with present technologies, but yet it was built at a time when it was kind of impossible so may be who knows, ppl knew something tht we dont.

if we believe religion, in Islam, our prophet(sm) went to mi'raz and visited Allah, he also visited Heaven and Hell, he saw ppls sufferings, now at tht time(around 615-640AD), he was not supposed to see ppls in the hell because the earth was still livable, we all didnt die and there was no judgement day.

there are several incidents that says tht he travelled a lot and in a little time, and he also saw the heaven and hell with people suffering in it. in my opinion, it was possible because of the speed that buraq has.

we all know that speed, time and space is interrelated. and to some theory it is believed that, if u gain a speed that is similar to the speed of light you will reach a point where the time is not moving (relativity).
we are familiar with the equation v=d/t All it says is velocity (speed) equals distance travelled divided by
time.

The theory of relativity is in fact two theories. The special theory of relativity (1905) and the general theory of relativity (1915). The predictions of general relativity only differ from Newton's theory by small amounts and most tests of the theory have been carried out through observations in astronomy. For example, it explains the shift in the perihelion of Mercury, the bending of light or other electromagnetic radiation in the presence of large bodies, and the Einstein shift.

HyperDrive
We know from Einstein that space is like a fabric (called space-time) and that the fabric can be bent or twisted. If we had a technology that would compress space-time at the front of our spaceship and at the same time expand it at the rear of our spaceship then we would have a hyperdrive system. Sounds easy eh? The only way of compressing the fabric of space is to use a large amount of mass (like a star or a black hole). A definite challenge, and one beyond us for the foreseeable future. However, that doesn't mean it's impossible.
The other alternative is to build stable worm hole using two very large masses at each end, to create a tunnel through space-time. Again in theory it sounds easy enough, but the technology for this would be another "challenge" as well.
