This just expressed your double standard and foolishness. Hope one day you will be educated and cultured enough to understand what to talk and what not to talk.

Talk about double standards..! When (according to you) a uneducated person makes one negative comment about your country you being a educated person (I assume) retaliate harshly without giving a chance to clarify or change her intended remark which most likely was a innocent mistake and you expect people not to retaliate, when a educated person like Taslima Nasreen knowingly the consequences and how much it will offend people makes such pathetic comments..!

Afsana, probably you think that when Mrs Indira Gandhi gave her full support to make Bangladesh free she had shown off how helpfull she is?

those who protested against Taslima's writing are also Indians but 90% of them haven't read her book. They are merely educated although literate. So whatever they have done is only by the provocation of so called orthodox people who are interested about creating chaos as they are creating all over the world.

Our country is a secular country( although my impression from the history made me personally feel that when Mr Jinnah and party demanded for a Islamic Country and broke the nation Nehru had to declare India as a Hindu nation but he wanted to show generosity and declared it as secular which was his great mistake),it is our Government's duty to protect every person .Specially a controversial person like Taslima, if they would not, there are lot of people who would criticize for its failure.

I am proud of my country .May be there are different opinions as well as many parties but still it is much better than many other countries . British left us in political chaos and economically backward .We have progressed a lot but yet to progress in spite of many external and internal troubles.

As far as the comparison is concerned I haven't compared Taslima with Socrates ,Galileo etc. I wanted to say that truth is seldom welcome .Here in this topic I won't comment any more because I am afraid that if I say more I would have to speak more bitter truth and might have to compare myself as Socrates, Galileo etc and there is a possibility to be exiled from this forum but I have many good friends here .In my language there is a phrase "Snuch ki aanch "which means Truth has its own heat which most have no power to bear.

First of all, I never made a comment on Taslima Nasreen did a good or bad neither i am in a position to judge her. Just because I know very little about religion.

Secondly, what I told, i stand by it. To give harsh comment to a person or to a nation is not same. I think all understand the difference. I will never be silent if anyone even tries to humiliate my country. And my education forces me to react in that way if anyone tries to humiliate my country without knowing much.

I don’t know how you found his /her words as innocent mistake. Neither he/she accept it as a mistake yet.

And you don’t have to be so imaginative to assume my education. I am in this forum over one and half years. In all those days, I have posted more than 1000 posts and those posts reflect my education and culture. If you r still curious and in any doubt about my education, give me ur mail id, I will send my curriculum vitae to you.

Bro, I have a high respect to any other country. I just lost control if anyone try to humiliate my country with ridicules statements. I think I would be better if we resist ourselves to pass comments on religion and national matters. If still anyone do so, i will be as harsh as possible.

Matter of fact, India tried to handle the matter as sensible as possible. In our news channels and TV channels, we regularly inviting intellectual peoples and politicians to debate and discuss about the matter. Out govt also having high level meetings. If anyone saw the recent news Indian channels recently (last two days), the Muslim brothers of our country are in favor to forgive her and give her shelter. In this effort, Tashlima also agreed to sensor the disputed portions from her book.
