| | Sunny, I'm not a JAVA programmer but currently I'm using C#.NET. So, I think I can give you a direction from where you have to start. One thing keep in your mind that,if you wanna be a good programmer.............u can't just start from the core programming syntax. You got to have few basic knowledge which makes your foundation to build up a heavy long term construction. So, start from the Datastructure. It has to be really really clear to you.Finish all three (I had 3 books for that course in Grad level,do u too ?) books that are referred in your Grad course. Then study the algorithms. Then read the general Object oriented concept from the absolute beginners series. Memorize each and every term you get inside the book.Read different scenarios through internet. when all these are finished, you are ready to go. Now, start with a very easy Java book..........may be from the Sam's series or the absolute beginners srs. Then go for the complete reference book by Herbert Schildt. Develop all the examples that are given inside. It might sound that you got to finish a lot of things. But believe me, there is no short cut way to be a good developer. First few months you have to work really hard but once it's done, you are ready to work and migrate yourself to any platform and language. Build your basic first cause, this is the perfect time to do that. When you'll enter to the job life like me, you'll never have enough time to do it. Last of all, I think if you r sincere enough.......you can do all the things that I told you within one month. Cause, already your basic is developed as you r still a student. Best of luck. |
