 coz of the huge expansion of former WWE, shortly after its name was changed frm WWF, n coz Vince knows how to make money, the WWE stars r divided up to play/perform in two diff shows every week, that are broadcasted free...some r designated to play in Monday Night RAW n some play in Friday Night Smackdown...these r just names of the shows...this way ppl get to see their favs play at least once a week (almost always)...besides these two, there r tons other pay-per-view events throughtout the year like Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Backlash, etc., Wrestlemania being the biggest WWE event every yr...WWE also owns ECW now, which is i guess for less talented wrestlers!!! coming to the topic, i still like RAW better than Smackdown mainly coz of Triple "haich (as the dumbass regal calls him)" n my all time fav Stone Cold is still listed as RAW superstar  n also coz RAW's got the better divas  ...
