India got a gold in Olympics

Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in men's 10 metre air rifle event of the shooting competition at Beijing Olympics on Monday morning.
[font=Arial][size=2]The medal is India's first individual gold, and the first since 1980, when the hockey team emerged triumphant in Moscow
Bindra shot a total score of 700.5.
China's Zhu Qinan, gold medalist at Athens 2004, won the silver medal with a total score of 699.7.
The bronze medal was won by Finland's Henri Hakkinen, who was leading the field after the qualification round, but was unable to hold off Bindra and Zhu in the final.
Bindra held his nerve to score 10.8 on the 10th and final shot, while Zhu shot 10.5 and Hakkinen fell back with a poor score of 9.7.
Earlier, Bindra ended the poor run of Indian shooters at the Olympics by qualifying for the men's 10 metres air rifle event final.
However, Gagan Narang failed to make the final cut in the same event as he finished ninth with a score of 595/600. Narang shot a series of 97, 100, 100, 100, 98, 100.
Bindra, a Khel Ratna winner, finished the qualifying event joint-fourth with Romania's George Alin Moldoveanu in the qualification round. The duo had a score of 596/600.
The bespectacled India shooter's scoring sequence was 100, 99, 100, 98, 100 and 99.
Meanwhile, Finland's Henri Hakkinen qualified first for the event with a score of 598/600 after shooting a series of 100, 100, 99, 100, 100 and 99.
China's Qinan Zhu was a point adrift of Hakkinen with a series of 100, 100, 100, 100, 99 and 98.

If you want to come into argument then I can’t help myself.

First of all, I appreciate you’re your concern towards the poor athletics of India. I appreciate your feelings for them.

But the problem is that, we are always happy just to have feelings and do not materialize them to concrete support. We think that paying a minimal tax is everything that we can do for our country and we are so happy of that we don’t miss a single opportunity to mention we pay tax.

We always nag that our country is not doing this not doing that. But what is a country. Is a country is the politicians or the govt. officials who run the country. Whose responsibility is to think the betterment of nation? Rather than nagging you better think on that.

If you are realistic, you should know that being a developing country India can’t spend unlimited money in HRD like others countries in UK, US etc. Forget about political and other corruption, that are bound to be present and it is also present in all other country. Every one has to go with it.

Now it is on you, whom you want to congratulate. I of course first want to congratulate Mr Abhinav Bindra because he has done it. But then also I want to congratulate to my poor India to give him support whatever she could. If you think nation has not done anything to him then I will suggest to go to any African country or any east European country and to see the miseries there. Even if India doesn’t do anything for you then also I don’t think it is processes that at least you got a name ‘Indian’ (Look at the Tibetans).

And about congratulating me, you better congratulate me for whatever I have done yet. May be it is insignificant but not negligible. And my area is not sport but education. But it is also a road. I am happy whatever I got from my poor India in fulfilling my goal and dream.

So be sensible and do whatever you can on your side ( I am sorry if you already done something for the nation or the poor people of the nation other than paying tax).
