lol... hehe.. well iqbal i actually wanted to say a lot of things.. the moment i saw u said mac's are not pc.. i lost my interest..
u have the right to defend ur views ..
mac uses a platform which is called PPC ( PowerPC) based on IBM powerpc processors.. search the net to get ur answer... and mac released new MAC's in intel x86 platform... and we were talking about OS's not platforms.. dont just comment on something based on ur assumptions pls..
Problems with XP i have is beyond ur capabilities ( its rude but its true ).. u have to have the knowledge to go that point.. i am not talking about simple hang or silly little random errors..
game doesnt have to do with stability .. it uses directx/opengl and based on ur AGP/PCI-Express cards
u said u use IIS and MS-SQL Server.. thats good.. have u ever used it in a production level? like using windows 2003 server with 40GB of data and a fully active service? constant users.. downloading from the site.. come to BanglaCafe, ask Lovelu (i am not mentioning my name because then it will be all me)..
have u ever used MS-SQL on a production database server? i have had the first hand experience to see how database of Vodafone Australia is maintained.. and MS-SQL does not fulfil the technological requirements.. it cant handle the db of that size.. they use Enterprize Linux by Redhat and Oracle..
the first time i saw Windows, i was facinated as well.. i used to use it as a server and be the "sh|t" among friends..
yes when u r using windows and those services at home.. and u want to show ur friends that u know something.. its good

not when u come to the real world and deal with data, that is beyond ur reach ATM.. i think u have the potential to be a good user..
windows 2003 is nice or windows server/services is easy to setup.. just some gui.. but to tweak it .. make it more custom is a pain in the ass.. i changed the whole behaviour of apache/php, mysql, ssh, ftp.. to give certain benefits to BanglaForum.. changed their default characteristics.. i recompiled them.. in windows i can change the configuration files.. but i can never change the source and do it as i want..
u have mentioned urself as an "cosmopolitan" user.. however i have seen this word for the first time used to describe someone's pc knowledge but i can bet u r not.. if u r one u will go deep into the kernel and start to play with it..
i dont like to argue with kids so.. it will be my last post in this thread for now
