stray dogs in dhaka and our misconceptions

its a shame how we dhakaities, rich and poor, treat them; these meek animals are nevr aggressive if not provoked, and are very unlikely carriers of rabies most of the time (howevr a 'low' possibility of rabid dogs in dhaka shud nevr be misinterpreted as 'zero chance')

ive seen how ppl take pleasure in hurting them; yeah it has happened so many time b4 my very eyes....sigh
but can we not change tht? can we not apprehend the rickshawpuller who gets a kick out of driving his rickshaw over the forelimps of a peaceful sleeping dog....or the spoilt brat who throws stones at it and 'hopes' tht it gets hurt; yeah thts the truth about us, so many of us take pleasure in causing pain to the innocent....maybe its a primal instinct within us to subjugate the meek or something, but im no psychologist and thts besides the point

i only plead to all of you to plz respect our fellow living creatures with whom we share our world with and treat them as they were just tht, an innocent little animal wh chooses to 'live'

so plz feel free to discuss ur thoughts and views on the subject, and if any1 has any initiatives in mind regarding the matter, plz discuss tht also; i m sure tht many of us ud like to help
