| First of all, I must say that, Its not really a problem of culture and/or language. Its all about mentality and reach. Lemme eXpand my thoughts a lil bit more. Mina spoke about NRB ppls, So I wud prefer talking about ppls living in Bangladesh Specially Young Generation. A Large part of it listens to Hindi for the TV Channels ( Apart from Bangladeshi ). And for this, its obvious that their preference would be Hindi Channels for this is pretty familiar to our Language. And learning Hindi is just Too easy for us. So, They will have their intention over the Hindi songs and this is certain for the impact of TV Channels. Now an improvised group of ppls listens to English Songs and that is more for showing a Style and less for better Music. Though there is another groupie who ACTUALLY listens to songs not to just show off. And now about Bangla Songs. For this Radio stations, ppls came more close to New/Old Bangla songs and there are several ppls who started to listen to Bangla songs again. Obviously because bangla Music Industry now has lots n lots of good music to deliver. At First I divided actually the groups of listeners. Now lets find out some reasons why ppls r more into Hindi Songs. a) First of all, its the similarity. and thats the strongest reason too. b) from such an old time, Hindi songs has more variation and quality than Bangla songs. Thats another strong reason for us to listen to them. They have more money running on their Bollywood and Music Industry. The more u can pay, the better music will release. Thats why they r improving with a more faster speed than us and ppls who are used to with Hindi Language they will obviously fall for it. c) We never had an advertisement neither enuff payment for singers. So its always tough for a New singer to fight for his/her songs. Most of them become discouraged and leaves immediately. Which never happens there at Bollywood. Not like it happens at Bangladesh. And finally, We Bangladeshi always wanted to get some Good things without paying a bit. We all want to Download the songs and still regret why the singers dont release album more frequently. Why their aint goog singers like 100. Why they dont come up with more good songs. This aint possible. We never pay them back. We dont buy CDs. Instead of this, we either DL the songs or borrows the CD from a Single guy who bought it. Thats another Strong reasons.
