| It's a joke. Muslims, by default, are not fond of Jews. So I tell people I am Jewish just to see their reactions. As for being anti-religion, I neither agree with, nor care for what others label me. I agree with Islam's stance on Zakat, treating the poor, Christianity's position on treating neighbours, Gautam Buddha's philosophy against envy and jealousy, Gandhi's policy of non-violence etc. My objection lies elsewhere. Since I was invited to rant, let me seize the window: Gods of all religions have too many apologists. Whenever something good happens, praises be to God. Whenever something bad happens, well it's not his fault! Despite a full century of scientific insights attesting to the antiquity of life and the greater antiquity of the Earth (and the universe), more than half the American population today believes that the entire cosmos was created 6,000 years ago. This is, incidentally, about a thousand years after the Sumerians invented glue. Many people still believe that dinosaurs lived two by two upon Noah's Ark, that light from distant galaxies was created en route to the Earth and that the first members of our species were fashioned out of dirt(according to Christianity - clay/blood-clot/semen according to Islam) and divine breath, in a garden with a talking snake, by the hand of an invisible God.
