We all get depressed and angry. Here are something you can do...maybe it won't work for everybody. but study shows it works for most of all.

To completely release yourself from the sinkhole of depression, you must also be free from anger. Here are 7 fabulous tips to help you manage and control your anger:

1.
Relax and Visualize.

Calm yourself down. Take a deep breath. As you exhale, imagine all those bottled-up rage come out of your nose and mouth. Release it and be free. Repeat this step over and over until you feel peace inside. Then visualize being in a place where you feel most happy, calm, and relaxed. It may be a place like a beach, garden, scenic location, or anywhere else you might think of. Just imagine being there and inhaling the essence of your serene surroundings. By doing this, you will not find it hard to attain inner peace.

2.
Pour Out Your Anger to Safe Outlets.

You had a big quarrel with your former friend. He betrayed your trust. You want vengeance and you're raving mad. You just have to let it out or you’ll feel more and more depressed. But don’t let it out on him. Try your best to get away from him as far as you can. You don't want to hurt anyone. Anger can cause you to impulsively doing something that you would normally never do. How do you then release your anger properly? Exercise is a fabulous outlet. Walk, jog, lift weights, dance, just do something physical and things will seem clearer.
If you feel really aggressive buy a punching bag, then pour out all your rage in it. Punch it, kick it, and strangle it. Imagine the punching bag as your enemy. When you're done, you will feel a sense of satisfaction. You may even punch and kick through thin air if you desire.
Another way to release anger is "SHOUT!" Find a distant place where you can be alone - a place where no one can hear you. At the top of your voice, yell out loud "Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!." You can choose any word you like as long as you release all those angry demons out of your chest.

Forgive and Forget.

Nothing could ease your mental and emotional pains better than by forgiving someone that has hurt you in the past. It is very unhealthy to burden yourself with unnecessary torture brought about by unpleasant memories of other people's demeaning acts.

Moreover, if they have taken something important away from you, would it make sense to also sacrifice your health and lifestyle, and feel much more depressed than ever? Of course not!

4.
Exercise.

Engaging in exercises increases your endorphins. Your angry mood could miraculously change to a happy one if you get involved in exercises that you enjoy doing.

5.
Have a Circle of Friends.

Do you feel relieved when you voice out all your problems to close friends and relatives? That's the power of voicing out your inner feelings. Always have someone to talk to when you're down, when you're depressed, when you're mad, or in any other occasion when you feel you have to get the thorns out of your chest.

6. Listen to Soothing Music.

It calms your soul. A 20-minute session of listening to relaxing music while resting comfortably could soothe the upset spirit. Take deep breaths often.

7.
Meditate or Pray.

Deadly consequences arise when people aren't able to hold back their fury. Ask for guidance that you will be able to control your temper. Meditating or praying brings inner peace to those who ask for it.

wat a timing...atm, dealing wit wat's described in 2nd sentence in #2, but 3rd sentence doesn't apply...i m more hurt than mad...so using #1 to calm myself by thinking abt the goodtimes we shared n the times s/he was there for me n stuff...#5-o use kore felchi...

eita amar theke bodhoy khub kom manushi bhalo bujhe...as far as i remember for the 2nd time in my life, tried to deal wit a situation wit a calm mind...but for some reason it backfired...misunderstandings took place which in turn actually revealed something that i wasn't ready to find out...hence the present scenario (ie #2 )...

lol...at least no one is getting hurt...my belief is that u have to pay the price for ur deed...i m not a saint ...but i can at least control myself frm doing any "major" harm to that person either physically or emotionally...also, "never ever forget" policy helps me to remember wat wrongs i might have done myself...i wish every1 did too...

Ya i have anger issues...!...but i don scream or anything...i just do the silent treatment.. I get angry very easily...choto choto bepar e.....thanks...i need to control myself...maybe i can try these tips..!! ...

1. Relax and Visualize. - I do relax for a bit.....like i take a deeeeeeeep breath!
3. Forgive and Forget. - I try!
6. Listen to Soothing Music. - Yes i do!! calms me down
