The British media made fun of Peter Crouch’s robotic celebration when it was first performed against Hungary on Tuesday night. However, if England are to be successful at this year’s FIFA World Cup™, then ‘the Crouch’ could be the biggest dance craze since Chubby Checker’s ‘Twist’ made its way across the Atlantic in the 1960s. Crouch scored in the 30th, 66th and 89th minutes to help his side to a comprehensive victory over Jamaica, who chosen by Sven-Goran Eriksson as opponents for their similarity of style to Trinidad and Tobago. They two teams meet in Nuremberg’s Frankenstadion on Thursday 15 June.
