Im a yahoo Freak..Boiragi knows that..  while i chat..after certain time i get dc..than before i clk to log in..its autometically log in.. it happenes every time.. i uninstall the yahoo and install again..but same thing...  can u pls tell me why i get dc and how can i fix it... thnx   | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

If the Yahoo! Messenger works for you sometimes but not all the time, or if you find yourself getting randomly disconnected from the Messenger, it may be that you are connecting to the Internet through a firewall. Some firewalls cause the Messenger to randomly disconnect. If you are using the Messenger from a networked computer, this is most likely what is happening. To solve this problem, ask your System Administrator to open port 5050 to our messenger servers, cs1.yahoo.com, cs2.yahoo.com, and cs3.yahoo.com. Check this Yahoo! - Messenger Try testing to see if its your connection. Go to Start=>Run=>"ping -t www.yahoo.com" (without the quotes). This will start a continuous ping to www.yahoo.com. You should see somthing like the following: Reply from 68.142.197.86: bytes=32 time=23ms TTL=55 Reply from 68.142.197.86: bytes=32 time=23ms TTL=55 Reply from 68.142.197.86: bytes=32 time=23ms TTL=55 etc.. which lets you know your connection should be working. Let this run until you get kicked off of yahoo messenger. When you do, check the command window and see if you see this: Request timed out If you do, you know you have a problem with your connection. . | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
