I think this thread might not interest a lot of people, but i recommend reading the article if you have time (might end up as waste of time for a bunch)

Thank you so much for this article. I will spread this out. This is so true. I had to face this question about March 26 and Dec 16th so many times to my youngest. Whenever i tried to explain it's confusion for them

Amader desher Itihas dine dine bilupto hoche. Koto jon eei notun projonmote ei proshno gulor uttor dite parbe. shotti bolte amio onek gulo parini.

Amader deshe jokhon jar netritto chole tokhoni Itihash change hoi. Change kore itihaser pata. konta shotti konta mittha ashole dayi hoye poreche bujar.

Americai jei bosuk na keno ashone oder itihas change hoina, itihaser pata o na. ebon ekhane graduate korar jonno history obossoi projojjo. college geleo charachari nai. amra to ekhane english medium porchi. tahole era jodi eder history dhore rakhte pare, amara keno parchina? Enlish medium jara pore tadero ei history recomended kore deya uchit.

Thanks once again..

Ami Sudhu amar New Generation ke Ei jonno Curse korte chai nah ... Actually Our Country's Leaders, as well as Intellectual ppls has made a Situation that our New Generation has the Least Idea about our History ... Last 2 Govt. tried to manipulate our History and tried to Implement their Own Generated History in our Skools and Clg ... Don wanna say anythin in details but this is just a Short version of our Current Situation. And on the Other hand, I don think EMD provides enuff Courses which will let our Kids learn atleast Somethin about our History and War and Attack on Language Movement protesters ( Though Im not Sure, But i atleast have some Idea ) ... Personally I have learned about our History basically from my Family members to be perfect from My Dad ... Learned just the Least from my Skool ... So Only Cursing our New Generation is just Wrong ... Let the Kids knowin about History is actually depends on Govt. and Education Board.

yes i have read the article

and im not taken aback to be quite frank

being disattached from one's roots is a matter of deep regret, however one must keep in mind that being able to correctly recall significant historic events is by no means proportional to the extent of patriotism on part of the surveyed and in no way indicate their love (or rather their lack of it as figures ud seemingly indicate) for our motherland (or at least id like to believe so)
