| If I had presented the problem like this: IF, 1=5 5=? you would be very prompted to ans. 1 without questioning legitimacy of the problem. in the original post your attention was distracted by the sequence of #'s up to 5. It's true 1 can't =5, so neither can 5 be equal to 1. but if one were to be true so would've to be the other one.
