I have regretfully observed here that after staffs have locked a thread, they keep on posting there their last words, knowing that members cant reply them. This is utterly an illogical behavior , i have not seen any such thing in any other forum i am a member of or i am a staff of.

since they are taking this chance to add their free style remarks, i'll take my chance to add my comments here

Eros , in the forum I am a respected staff, have closed all religious threads, not have saved only one . Here you have protected the islamic threads and locked the threads regarding other religions, which we have never did in the forum in question. You can just say that you dont like to hear criticism , right , or do u think what u do is perfect ?

do you know everything what goes on in bangladesh, or the govt , or the science matters, but you debate on these topics, then why not religion as well ? debating is a way of confronting your knowledge and testing it . many of us dont have in depth knowledges on medical , political, international relations and social issues, but still we talk about them . tate problem hoy na ?

after explaining in two posts (made by jubair & me), if you still didn't understand what we said, then i don't know in what way you'd understand. but here is my last attempt again...

we never said, we'll only allow Islam related debating thread only. what we said is, do debate within you own religion, which you know best. as i said, religion is a very SeNSiTivE thing to debate.

Yes, we dont know everything about bangladesh, our govt. or all the scientific met tars, but we sure can give suggest out govt, we can swear at them, we can even do trash talk, so should we also suggest God, make commnets on its creations ? or should we (humans) swear at GOD. ?

No, bcuz all religion based on their own value, logic, respect much like scientific logics, rules, which we cant change.

main thing is, debate about you own religions, means, if your muslim, do debate about Islam. if you hindu or jews, then do debate about those religion. learn what your religion tells you to do. not just talking trash about other religion, which you dont know that much.

what we got here is, 2/3 threads, which just started with a comment with something like, those religion simply bad, so lets do trash talk.we wont allow this. since majority members of this forum Muslim, so we can defend anything about Islam. doing debate against a minor religion, where no one is to defend their religion, doesn't make it s debate thread. debating threads need same amount of members to do debate against or in support of it.

we got a bad image about jews, the same way they think of Islam. so we'll always talk against about each other's religion.

I hope, you understand now. But if you still didn't, then im sorry to say that, i could'nt made you understand what we want to say.

bottom line: bangla forum is an internet message board

and preventing members from expressing themseves (within the set rules ofcourse) is unethical on part of the moderators and staff in charge of its upkeep

in doing so, they will have served no body, as religious sentiments are bound to be offended when threads desribing a particular religion as 'illogical' (case and point: RAHUL's thread regarding hinduism) are posted, but one reminds the mods and admins that preventing that very expression is an abuse of power, albeit it is deemed justified some of the times

I missed the word "debate" in my earlier post regarding this matter. yes, it wud be one-sided debate if its about religions other than Islam, but didn't like Jubair saying he won't let any1 talking good/bad about other religion (if it's bad just delete it. thats y we have mods). This idea will prevent ppl from even opening a subject for discussion about religions other than Islam .
Lastly, Severus's complain is absolutely logical.

Named Muslim will not necessarily be able to defend his/her religion…! We have many subjects debating Rasullullah’s marriage, asking questions about the Quran but how many Muslim if any can really answer or defend these issues apart from personal opinions…? It is illogical to let one ask questions regardless of offence caused and tell the other not to say anything because he/she belongs to minority groups…! You can’t ban one and not other when committing same mistakes or crime… How right is to say something after closing a forum when the other party can’t defend him/her self? Closed should remain closed for everyone.
