I absolutely agree with tanna,afsana,rio and all others who are saying against fair n lovely. Even I say that too.
Still, thinking from their prospective have you seen girls whose marriage proposals break down because of them being just a bit dark? Might sound primitive but still these days arranged marriage is happening and whenever a proposal goes down, then girl herself feels extremely bad. So she wants to have some hope of getting fair by using fair n lovely.
There are girls who are not fair. They like some specific 'X' guy. The guy digs on only fair face and the traditional trend of fair being beautiful theme. So that girl also wants to be fair.
So, I cannot say that using fair n lovely can be a bad thing. Some people have different opinions about these fairness thingy since they have experienced the bitter part of not being fair. So we cannot judge them and say being bold inside is the most important thing, cause to them it might be the second priority. As well as personal freedom goes, people just wants to be Fair! After all, even in this century Beauty is seen as the first priority to at least 60-65% people.
To sum it up, I'd still shout proudly with all the others that the beauty contained inside is far more beautiful then the beauty outside.
