well according to my experience its like this,
::CAUTION:: my experience is only from a bachelor student's point of view, so it will differ from person to person..
good things
better education (dhaka te valo education nai bolbo na.. its just i dont like the way they teach.. its primitive)
umm you get to learn your life by yourself (dhaka te ghum theke uthe nasta, bichana thik kori ni, dupure khao, kapor konta ki korte hobe jantam na.. ma ese ber kore niye jeto wash korar jonno)
u learn to deal with life (life e bipod ase jaay, when u r with ur parents and friends u depend on them, mentally, fianancially but when u r alone u have to deal with it by yourself, its no fun but thats life)
u learn cooking ... (not everyone but most of them)
u learn to socialize with different kinds of peoples for business, job or pleasure... life, u name it.. at a young age..
you earn money for urself..
u live by your own..
all in all you become self-reliant.. u get more control over your life.. u get a freedom in ur life... u r independent. yadda yaddaa ...

u miss the foods
u miss the environment (i LOVE dhaka, No Matter what)
life is too calculative in overseas

i hate living overeas
