Time just flies...

Does anybody wonder how time really flies?? It was like beginning of Ramadan. Heaps of preparation, plan for Iftar party, charity, extended prayers - blah blah... Then we embraced the divine month and observed it’s solemnity with our individual capabilities. Eventually Eid came, spoiled ourselves with food, clothes, trips, parties; but alas they are all now past As we look forward to another Eid, believe me, it’s a matter of weeks, when we’ll be back to the square one again. There we go...So what have we learned?? It’s a one way journey to the mortality…In other words life is a party. It’s fun so long it lasts...

it's not quite as joyous for some

True! May not be joyous all the way thru. Life is roller coaster ride too. When we have downs lets face those and keep the spirit up! There is light at the end of the tunnel...

yeah i noe wat u mean...time does fly by pretty fast
but somtyms not fast enuff...for ex: mondays. they always seem to drag on foreverrrrrrrrr

ugh. tell me abt it.. it still feels like sep. to me sometimes. .lol.. yeah, well.. in some ways its a good thing that the time is passing. but there's just soo little time to get things together u kno. thats really stressful sometimes.
and oh yeah.. mondays are the worst!!! just like today ughhh.. godddd... i wish that mondays would just disappear from the week.. i practically hold my breath for it to be over.

I agree with u guys. But sadly though Friday n Saturday - before I could even grasp the essence they are gone Sunday afternoon makes me gloomy, and there comes Monday!!! We go past it too. Week comes week goes we move to the end of year, home visit and then back to the same routine

Interestingly though, last time I was in BD, I was in a adda with friends, when I mentioned I couldn't track how days/weeks/months/years passed, a friend of mine said, "here in BD we know how every moment passes, coz we are surrounded by chaos, tension, uncertainty. Every morning we wake up and think whether we'll be able to pass the day without being mugged, without being approached by chadabaj/hooligans, without being knocked down by trucks etc etc. So we count every second, therefore to us every day is a long day, every week is long week and months and years are far too long". I couldn't disagree...

That just goes to show the extent of Bd peoples' tendencies to exaggerate: having lived here all my life I have never been mugged nor am I in constant fear of being victimized in that manner; I have never had to deal with chadabaz, and have never come close to dying in a road mishap. I think the majority of Bangladeshis like it when they are the subjects of others' pity, pitiful indeed.
