even the name suggests its not our dress at all. Its basically a pakistani- afgan-iranian dress. Our climate is not suitable for panjabi.

Remember, national dress is what that the mass peoples wear most of the time. And we all know, boyz wear loongy.
Thats our national dress.
Not only in the villages(obviously village people wear it all the time) but in cities also they wear this. so it would be quite foolishness to think boyz dont wear there national dress.
Yes. when we go out side, we wear pants,shirts, t-shirts. But we are the educated peoples.
Mass peoples still wear it all day.
And we the city and educated peoples also wear it at home.
We still dont wear things like trowsers for comfort.

So the boyz still intact with their N dress and maintaining it very very well.

hmmm Saree and Selwar kamiz

I think its normal for a girl living in western to follow western culture. for instance me, i dress up like a western girl does when i go out but when i am home, i try to maintain the deshi culture by wearing selwar kamiz sometimes(not saree tho, its hard to handle).On eid or other deshi events, Selwar kamiz or saree is a most to wear for me. Basically i follow both western and deshi culture. BUT what is not normal is that girl living in bangladesh dress up like western girls. I have seen some bangali girls living in bangladesh follow western culture more then us living in western. my philoshophy is that follow the rule of the place u live in (not all though)
