Default Bashar...YET AGAIN, Posted May 25th, 2007, 08:06 PM #1 (permalink) |
If u watched even just the start of the 2nd test today, u'll know exactly what i along with pretty much rest of the world mean...to be honest, i got no words of expression...just quoting few lines from one of the cricket critics who finally laid out the bitter truth, that it's time Bashar says bye bye to cricket...

"What began with all the elements of a sultry but buzzing Friday afternoon had quickly turned quiet, then ominous, for Bangladesh fans as India cashed in on Habibul Bashar's gross miscalculation of a low surface which will only get flatter as the first Test to be played at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla stadium continues."
"As for Bangladesh, they had to bowl in pretty tough conditions and only the never-tiring Mortaza and Rasel, in his first two spells, posed any threat. The side also were let down by Bashar setting very conservative fields."
"Bashar's captaincy lacked a sense of direction, motivation was hard to come by, and his decision to bowl on a flat deck did absolutely nothing to quell demands from certain quarters that he should retire."

I don't think this critic has anything personal against Bashar mia...he's just pointing out the facts that have also been mentioned quite a few times by the match commentators today...it didn't seem like watching a test match today towards the end of the day...indians were taking singles from almost every ball - as a result of bashar's bizarre strategy of setting up the fielders...well, as it seems now, another innings defeat is on the way UNLESS that idiot uses watever his left in his shit-head and come up with a better tactic tomorrow...

Even Few days ago I counted Bashar as not really an Essential element for Bangladesh ODI Team ... Infact I deem he wud b dropped out for nXt ODI Series ... And at the same tym i considered him as a Good Test Player and might b a Captain too ... But yeah after watchin this Test series carefully I understood that He isnt any good thing for Test's too ... No Attitude, no Control, No Captaincy, No Cricketic Calculation ( actually malfunctioning ) Nothin ... He was a good Cricket for Bangladesh few years back ... But He isnt anythin currently ... He sud retire b4 BCB Kick him out of the Team ... He really sud ... Or he sud learn Cricket a bit More ...

Well Rio, By which sense u r admittin that Bashar is doin arryte as a Captain ?! And why in this world Rafique ( if u meant him ) wud b nXt Captain ... Kaku, He is 36 and its just old enuff to b not elected as Captain ... So Ashraful is a better choice ... Or There is Another name ... Tushar Imran ... But yeah if he can perform while playin for national Team ... LoL ...

don't blame just him for his decision to bowl first, its never just the captain's decision

CAN WE REALLY BLAME THE PITCH FOR BD BOYS NOT BEING ABLE TO PICK UP WICKETS???

Rayan: Bashar bolod jodio sorry bole nai, whatmore naki doler pokkho theke maf chaia bolche je age bowling-r decision naki bashar-r ekar chilo na...it was made by the bolod, whatmore as well as ashraful...kototuku shotto ke jane...jaugga, oita na hoy mana gelo, kintu fielding-r strategy-r jonno kon beakkol dayi?

Rio: khela dekhso naki jani na...jodi deikha thako taile bolo to bashar-r chehara chagol-r moto chewing chabano ar karthik-r catch dhora chara koybar screen-e dekha gese? he was hardly seen talking to any bowlers to set up the fielding accordingly...it was only ashraful...so that raises the question too - who actually is responsible for the fielding? ar for captaincy, rafique jodi ekhon 30 bochor-r nicheo hoito, taileo ore captaincy deya hoito na...or background r amgo bd public-r mentality dekhlei bujhba keno...

i do admit that ashraful seems to be the best choice for captaincy, but he too is not in any sort of form...he never was...scoring 100 in one match ar er por-r 5-10 matche dui figure-o na pouchano is the only conistency in him...the only consistent players in bd teams seem to be sakib and koushik, at least since world cup...but it's true that none of these two have enough experience to be captain yet...whoever it may be, bashar needs to be kicked outta team...
