This is a calendar of reoccuring ghostly events in UK... there are records that shows that certain ghostly incidents happen on particular days of the year... In this calendar a list of ghostly things that happens on particular days are given...
1st January
1) A Jamaican woman appears at Ireby (Cumbria) - Overwater Hotel... it haunts manifestations... The building wat purchased by a person named Joseph Gillbanks in 1814.. Legend says that Gillbanks had an affair with a Jamaican girl who he tried to drown at Overwater Tarn when she told him she was pregnant. As she struggled to pull herself out of the water, he chopped her arms off. Her armless apparition is now said to appear here once a year.
2) Sounds of partying can be heard at Knighton (Isle of Wight) - Knighton Gorges manor house (no longer standing). Though demolished in 1820, the phantom sounds of partying and enjoyment are sometimes reported from the area of the manor house grounds.
14th January
A crying lady appears at West Deeping (Lincolnshire) - Church... The date of this woman's death is marked by her phantom sobs heard emanating from the church. Her husband was so distressed by the death that he took his own life the following day (see Tallington, Lincolnshire).
24th February
Some say that at Northrepps (Norfolk) - Shrieking Pit, along a lane off Hungry Hill, the entity that appears in the pit is the spirit of a woman who took her life, while others believe it is something much darker that lures the unwary to their deaths.
March - anyday
Sounds of murder can be heard. The location is Loch Assynt - Banks of the loch... The site where a debt ridden schoolmaster killed a peddler for his gold is marked once a year by the sounds of the crime being reenacted - the crack something hard being brought down on the salesman's head, followed by footsteps, a body being dragged, and the splash as it is thrown into the water.
27th April
1) Once a year the sounds of clashing swords and Roman and Saxon screaming can be heard at Burgh Castle (Norfolk). Another ghost reportedly observed here during dark nights is a figure that plummets from the ramparts.
1st May
1) Reports at South Walsham (Norfolk) - South Walsham Broad claim that a spectral Viking long boat appears, burning in the middle of the water.
2) The place where the ghostly things happen is Oxford (Oxfordshire) - Godstow Nunnery, Wolvercote. As dawn breaks on the first of May, phantom singing can be heard coming from the empty chapel. The phantom of Rosamund Clifford has also been reported here, though she is not so fussy as when she should appear.
19th December
1) The place is Haworth (Yorkshire) - Haworth Parsonage, surrounding moor land, the path to Bronte waterfall, and former Weaver's Restaurant.
The famous abode of the Bronte Sisters, it is Emily who now haunts the grounds, her head bowed as in deep thought and meditation. She suddenly vanishes of anyone comes too close. The apparition may appear several days either side of the date given.
