14 mei – De Vlaamse busbouwer Van Hool heeft samen met zes partners de eerste hybride bus op waterstof ter wereld gebouwd. Deze bus stoot geen schadelijke stoffen uit, en is ook zeer stil. De bus werd vandaag voorgesteld door de Vlaamse ministers Fientje Moerman en Kathleen Van Brempt. Door dit project te ondersteunen wil de Vlaamse Regering haar voortrekkersrol opnemen op het vlak van technologische vooruitgang en milieuvriendelijk openbaar vervoer. De Lijn zal de bus een halfjaar leasen en daarna het project evalueren. Vanaf 18 juni zet De Lijn de bus in tussen Lier en Antwerpen. 14 May - the Flemish bus builder Van Hool with six partners made the first hybrid bus ( using hydrogen as fuel ) in the world.
