Many people would say Adam Gilchrist. It's hard to argue with that, but my personal favourite would be K Sangakarra of Sri Lanka. Our very own Pilot is an excellent wicketkeeper too, and the youngster Mushfiqur Rahim that is supposed to replace him once he retires is a decent prospect as well.
